For many tourists Armenia is perceived as the sunny warm country. Even though in summer here is really very beautiful, Armenia isn’t less interesting and picturesque in winter. The nature created the best conditions for active rest here. Winter holidays in Armenia — is a big piece of emotions and lively impressions. First of all from the landscapes: the highland covered with snow looks unusually picturesque. 

DAY 1


 

Yerevan City Tour

 


Arrival in Yerevan and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy morning city tour in Yerevan: Republic Square, Mashtots Avenue, Bagramian Avenue, the Palace of the President, Monuments to Vardan Mamikonyan, David of Sassoun, Mother Armenia, Cascade. In the evening you can rent skates and have a good time on the ice rink near the Opera and Ballet Theater. Welcome dinner in the restaurant with folklore program.

DAY 2


 

Yerevan – Amberd – Saghmosavank 


Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Amberd. If you are an enthusiastic skier, you will enjoy skiing in this beautiful region. After skiing Go to Saghmosavank. Saghmosavank Monastery is a 13th century Armenian monastic complex located in the village of Saghmosavan. Our next stop is Alphabet park. The monument represents the 39 tracery letters of Armenian Alphabet.

DAY 3




Amberd – Khor Virap – Noravank Jermuk – Areni – Yerevan


Breakfast at the hotel and Go to Khor Virap. Monastery location allows you to enjoy the best views of the Mount Ararat. Continue to Noravank monastery located on the ledge of narrow winding gorge of Arpa River. Go to Jermuk, famous for its thermal-mineral springs. Last stop is at Areni. Have a wine degustation in a local winery. Return to Yerevan.

DAY 4



Yerevan – Tsaghkadzor 

 

Breakfast at the hotel and Go to Tsaghkadzor ski resort, which means the Gorge of Flowers. Here you will enjoy the Kecharis monastery – a large religious center of the 11th - 13th centuries with its own school. Free time to enjoy the skiing. The trails in Tsaghkadzor are really interesting and different, you can enjoy them all the daylong changing the routes between one another.

DAY 5



 Tsaghkadzor – Sevan – Dilijan - Yerevan


 

A picturesque trip to the Lake Sevan starts after breakfast. Lake Sevan is the largest lake in Caucasus and the highest fresh-water lake in the world. Go to Sevanavank- a prominent historic-architectural complex. The next milestone is Dilijan, the most famous tourist spot where you will see the monastery complexes of Goshavank and Haghartsin. Back to Yerevan
